CDC NSW BUS SERVICES AND OPAL CARDS

CDC NSW operates a bus service from the surrounding areas directly to Our Lady of the Rosary School. This is a dedicated school bus service shared with St Leo’s College and other local schools.

Parents apply for an Opal card

The card will be sent directly to your home address, not the school.

SCHOOL DRIVE-THRU INFORMATION

We are fortunate to have our student drop off and pick up within the school grounds.  The area in front of the school is reserved for staff parking, along with the space in front of the basketball courts and down the exit driveway.  Morning drop off and afternoon pick up are in front of the Cathedral.  Parents are asked to drive to the front of the zone and children to exit the car on the curb side.  If you need to fix your child’s hair, assist with uniforms or help them into the school, please park in the Parish car park and walk them in personally.  Parents with children attending Waitara Family Centre care are able to park in the CatholicCare spaces as they take their child to preschool.  No day parking is available for parents who drop their child at school and then walk to Waitara Station.

Afternoon Drive-thru: Students sit in the Cathedral courtyard in the shade. When their name is called, students get into cars under teacher supervision. No students are to leave this area to walk down to the driveway to meet parents.  If students are not collected by 3.20pm teachers take them to wait inside near the office.  Please follow the flow of traffic.  Please don’t park outside the school in the street where parents are lining up to come for drive-thru.  Please don’t park where you will interrupt the normal flow of traffic.  Please do not block the driveways of our neighbours as you wait in the queue.

Please drive slowly through the school premises and remember it is against the law to be on your phone while driving.
